Before you proceed to configure the tariffs themselves, it is important to ensure that some preliminary settings have already been made:

  • Charge templates - this is a mandatory setting that must be selected for each tariff. You must have at least one template that will be used to create the charges for overnight stays. Details on how to prepare a template can be found [here].
  • Meals - these are necessary when your prices include meals. In our example, the prices include breakfast and dinner. You can find configuration instructions [here].
  • Rate packages - this setting is optionalbut useful if you need more detailed calculations for accounting purposes – for example, breaking down the final price into items such as accommodation, breakfast, and dinner. To learn how to create them, see [here]
  • Guarantee and cancellation policies - although optional, it is good practice to have a guarantee policy selected for your rate. This will help you automate the processes of tracking guarantees and applying rules when cancelling reservations. For more information, see [here].

Once you have ensured that all the necessary settings are in place, you can proceed to configure your rates.
