After adding the start date of the season, we proceed to configure the prices for the first room type, Economy Room (ECON).

Click on the ECON room type cell to enter the prices for the economy room.

Analysis of pricing conditions

Before we introduce the prices, let's take a look at the conditions for this room.

Economy room (ECON):

  • Maximum occupancy: 2+0;
  • Price for two with breakfast included: 130;
  • Single occupancy: 100.

We have two price options:

  • Double occupancy → 130.
  • Single occupancy → 100.
  • There is no different pricing for children.
  • The rate is created "per room", i.e., we will work with a price per room, not "per guest". Therefore, during the season, we are introducing a base price of 130 per room.

  • Let's set up the exception. To reflect the price for single occupancy, we will use guest offsets.
  • Offsets allow you to make modifications to the base price according to the number of guests. They are suitable for simple changes where the age of the children or the combination of guests does not matter.
  • In our case, we choose the offset "Single adult".
    • We set the adjustment to -30.
    • This way, the base price of 130 will be reduced by 30 for single occupancy, and we will get the correct price of 100.

  • It is not appropriate to use the "Adult 1" offset in this scenario. The reason is that if the room is occupied by two people, but in a combination of 1 adult + 1 child, the discount will still apply because the number of adults will be 1.
  • Remember: Each offset is triggered by a specific number of adults or children in the room, regardless of their combination.

The rate for an Economy room with breakfast is now fully configured:

  • Price for two: 130;
  • Single occupancy: 100 (via guest offsets).
