Creating rates
Once all contract configurations have been entered, we move on to creating the rates.
- In the upper right corner, select the "Rates" button, then press "AUTO ADD RATES";
- The system will generate all combinations of room types and meals specified in the contract.
It will attempt to recognise which room types in the system they refer to, as well as what meals they include. For each rate, a name will also be suggested.
- We carefully review each line:
- We make sure that the correct room type is selected – if necessary, we correct it.
- We check which meals are marked and make corrections.
- If necessary, we edit the names to make them more convenient and clear for work.
- We carefully review each line:
- Finally, we save the rates.
Additional settings
Automatically created rates can be used immediately, but it is good practice to supplement them with a few additional settings on the „Rate Management“ screen.
- In the search, we use the rate filter and select the contract name to load all rates.
- Select them and open them for editing.
- In the "Rates" tab, set a warranty policy so that the warranty and cancellation conditions are applied automatically;
- In the "Restrictions" tab, we enter capacities for adults and children.
- The contract for double rooms states:
- Minimum occupancy → 1 adult;
- Maximum capacity → 4 guests;
- There is a special price only for a third adult. This means that accommodation for 4 adults is not allowed because there is no such price in the contract.
- Therefore, we set the restrictions in the system as follows:
- Min Adults → 1;
- Max Adults → 3;
- Max Children → 1.
- The contract for double rooms states:
Why is "Max Children" 1 and not 2?
The "Max Adults" allows children to be accommodated, while "Max Children“ only allows the addition of one child. Thus, the total capacity of the room (4 guests) will be allowed only for the combinations 2+2 and 3+1, but not for 4 adults.
