Creating rates

Follow the familiar steps for creating rates described in the article about the first sample contract. There are several differences here:

  • The rates are lower because this contract only includes one meal type – HB.
  • In the Meals/Room typecombinations, there are situations where several combinations refer to the same actual room. For example:
    • DBL/HB and DBLPromo/HB will be linked to the DBL room type because these are different price options for the same room.
    • APP4pax/HB and APP5+pax/HB will be linked to the APP room type, with the first rate describing prices for up to 4+2 guests and the second for 5 or more adults.

Rate Management Example

For greater clarity, we assign a short and understandable name to each rate, which will make it easier for you to work with them.

Additional settings

After creating the rates, we continue with additional settings via the "Rate Management" screen, similar to the first contract. We select the warranty policy and set the restrictions for the capacity of each meeting room.

This is how they look for the rates in this contract:

DBL/HB
DBLPromo/HB
FAM/HB
APP4pax/HB
APP5+pax/HB
Min Adults: 1Min Adults: 2Min Adults: 2Min Adults: 4Min Adults: 5
Max Adults: 3Max Adults: 3Max Adults: 6Max Adults: 4Max Adults: 6
Max Children: 1Max Children: 1Max Children: 2

Note: Please note that for some rates, there are no restrictions on children, even though they are allowed to stay. This is because the restriction "Max Adults" automatically allows children to be checked in. For this reason, in some cases, the number specified in "Max Children" is smaller than the actual number allowed for the room. Therefore, in cases where the maximum occupancy can be filled by both children and adults, we only use the "Max. Adults" restriction.

Adding a tag

We will add one more setting to these rates. This is necessary so that we can activate them for the other companies in the market to which the contract applies.

Go to the "Marketing & Tags" tab.

In the "Tags" field:

  • Using the "+" button, we add a new tag – a short and clear abbreviation that will designate the rates from this contract, for example: WIN25/26-WEU.
  • Then we select it for all rates, using the bulk fill button for convenience.
  • Finally, we save all changes to the rates.
