Although Clock POS is designed to allow full digitalization of internal operations, many F&B outlets still prefer to have kitchen printers to print the orders and a printer for the final customer receipt.
Purpose
As a cloud service, Clock PMS+ is not 'installed' on a PC or device and thus connection with the printers must happen over the network.
The purpose of the Clock IoT connector in regard to restaurant/kitchen printers is to 'bridge' the communication between the Clock PMS+ cloud server and the various printers within the network.
Requirements
In order for the communication between the Clock PMS+ cloud servers and the printers to be possible, you must ensure that:
- the printers are fully installed and connected to your local (internet) network.
- the Clock IoT connector is constantly powered on and connected to the same local (internet) network as the printers.
- follow the steps explained HERE to add the printers to your Clock POS account and associate them to the IoT device.
Note: A single Clock IoT device can communicate with many printers in the network.
